He’s probably the only protagonist in the series that actually feels like he starts out as a genuinely good guy without some huge violent past or regrets.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories takes place two years earlier in 1984, where a ripe and prosperous landscape sees the player take on the role of Lance Vance’s brother, Victor. The original GTA:VC (2002) painted a beautifully violent picture of 1986 with its protagonist Tommy Vercetti, but he spent time in jail before that. Now with the hopes that GTA VI will head back to Vice City-and maybe even the 80s or 90s if we are lucky-I’m revisiting this title. Thankfully, a PlayStation 2 port would be released one year later in 2007 that I could dive into. As Rockstar giveth, they taketh away though, when I learned that the new romp down in Florida would only be released on the PlayStation Portable handheld system. So when the opportunity to revisit even a facsimile of that world with new adventures came around, I realized it was something I wanted immensely. Just a reminder though, there's only a few of us actually working on this project so we do NOT know when or if we'll ever be finished but we will keep you all updated.Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is my favorite child in a long list of fun and loveable bastards. The last mainline public release is BETA3, code-named "Blue Hesper" and the latest WIP build is E3 2018, so be sure to give that a download and check it out! In this modification will also be a set amount of storyline missions and side missions which will increase with each mainline BETA release, other things will also be available such as a redesigned menu, new neon lights, HUD, radio stations, etc as well as an attempt to look through the history of the game and bring back some BETA designs as a special bonus for you. In this modification we will be converting the map, characters, vehicles and weapons from the ORIGINAL game files and remastering content where applicable as well as porting the games weather system and atmosphere.
